At Hickmans we pride ourselves on the level of customer support and backup we provide. As part of this, if you live in Swindon and the surrounding area, we will deliver and provide standard installation on most items over £300* free of charge.


This includes our new range of domestic appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers and refrigeration. We will also remove and recycle your old appliance free of charge.


We’re available to offer advice and help over the phone if you have any issues or queries with your items once they have been delivered. We can, depending on the problem, return to site free of charge (under certain circumstances) to help with the operation and use of your product too.

In Warranty Repairs & Customer Support


At Hickmans we believe in talking directly to our customers. That’s why when you phone us up for technical support or advice you’ll speak directly to one of our members of trained shop staff or to one of of engineers.


Most problems can be sorted out over the phone such as retuning or setup issues, but if required we can organise for one of our team to visit you at home to get you going again.


Through our dedication to customer service we have built up an extensive knowledge that allows us to repair most major brands of TV, HiFi & Home-Cinema.


We’re also an authorised Panasonic Service agent allowing us to provide our customers the excellent backup service they deserve, should it be required, throughout the life of their products.


Additional Installation Services


We understand that a standard installation is not always the solution for every customer. That’s why we are able to offer a tailored solution to suit your needs.


We are able to mount TV’s on walls or hang them from ceilings, mount speakers on wall brackets, discretely hide speaker cables & fit concealed wall or ceiling speakers.


We can also mount your cupboard doors onto integrated kitchen appliances, fit hobs into work surfaces, install integrated cookers and mount cooker hoods.


In most situations we can do as much or as little as you want us to, ensuring that you have the right installation at a price you are happy with. Prior to commencing some of these jobs we will visit your home to check that the work you want carried out is feasible and provide an estimated price.

Depending on the fault we can collect, repair and return your product whilst also providing a courtesy loan. For smaller under guarantee items, such as DVD, HiFi or Home Cinema we may, at our discretion, also be able to collect, return & supply a loan item free of charge.

All loan products are subject to availability & provided to customers (at our discretion) who have purchased a TV of 32” and above and are not necessarily equivalent to product being repaired.

Out of Guarantee Repairs


If you have a product that has failed and is outside of its guarantee period, we will generally still be able to repair it for you on a chargeable basis. For an up front non refundable fee, we’ll provide an estimate for repair on most items for either private repair or insurance purposes.


The estimate charge will form part payment for any repairs that we complete, or alternatively it can be used as part payment against a replacement model should yours be un-repairable.

Priority is always given to repairs on items purchased from Hickmans & timescale for repair will vary depending on parts availability and workload level.

* free delivery is available on most items with an in store ticket price of over £300. If you have any queries please ask at the time of sale. Some items will require a non standard installation. These will have an additional charge that will be discussed at the time of sale. A standard delivery includes unpacking and disposal of the packing, installation and setup of your new product with your existing equipment, a run through of the basic operation of your newitem/s and removal/recycling of the item/s we have replaced. Your new products will be setup with your existing electrical, plumbing, aerial & satellite connections. If you have any issues that prevent us from installing we can suggest local tradesmen who can repair or replace your electrical, plumbing, aerial & satellite connections.
